This file concerns the preparation of civil air agreements between the UK and Bahrain, Kuwait and the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman. It contains correspondence and minute sheets relating to:
- Discussions regarding the control of civil aviation in the Arab states of the Gulf and at Gwadur [Gwadar], including minutes of meetings and drafts of various documents, including air navigation regulations for civil aircraft; conditions to govern the use of aerodromes; and special authorisation for aircraft to land in and fly over relevant territories
- Charges proposed by Imperial Airways in respect of agency services at the aerodromes
- Question of rent payments to the Rulers
- Negotiations with the Rulers of Bahrain and Kuwait and with the Sultan of Muscat and Oman and preparations of the terms and documentation for the three civil air agreements
