SAWT AL URUBA OF 8/8/1963 (Beirut) ENGLISH ASSOCIATION IN LONDON FOR THE AID OF THE OMANIS Every man who has a sense of humanitarianism hashastened to support the Omani question and to show sympathywith the Omani people who, along with their freedom andindependence, were aggressed upon by Britain through thelogic of sword and the law of the jungle. In the Vanguard of the peoples who supported the fairOmani question are the British themselves who have always beenadopting honourable attitudes towards any oppression shownby their government. We often hear honest representativesraise their voices in the House of Commons defending what isright and fair and denouncing British aggression on peoples, A society called "The Omani Rights Committee has beenformed in Britain to defend the Omani question and people andto rally the British public opinion against the aggressivepolicies of their government in Oman with a view to puttingan end to these policies. The society has several officesin the British capital and publishes two periodicals; onein English and the other in Arabic, carrying articles andfeatures on the Omani question, in addition to strong-tonedcomments criticising the imperialistic British government'spolicies in Oman. The society organises from time to time popular processionsand demonstrations in London streets carrying banners and shouting for freedom in Oman and against the reckless British policyagainst the Omanis. The society is headed by an M.P., Mr.Robert Edward. We are very thankful to this society and to those whoare running its affairs. By defending the Omani question theyin fact defend the ideals of justice, right and humanitarianismhighly desired by every honest and noble man.
