Applications to United Nations by Trucial States

This file concerns the possibility of the Trucial States applying for membership of UN agencies. It contains correspondence on:

• A planned visit by UNESCO to Abu Dhabi to discuss their current and future activities
• The decision of the Trucial States Council to apply for membership of various UN agencies and the question of whether to delay this until more progress has been made in bringing about a union of Arab Emirates
• Details of a training course on agricultural project formulation and evaluation, organised by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN and for which Abu Dhabi and Dubai have been invited to nominate participants.
