Qatar/Saudi BorderPlease refer to Ranala Boyle's letter 4/1 of214 February to you.2. Shaikh Zaid sent instructions (from Dubai) thatShaikh Mubarak was to go to sila and send a trustedrepresentative to Jebel Odaia, while the Sazais were inthe area. Lubarak was ill and could not go, but sentHamoudeh, the senior Arab police officer, to sila andanother officer to Odaid, together with a lorry-lead ofsheep to give the Saudi delegation a suitable welcometo Abu Dhabi territory if they turned up. Famoudenhas now returned. I have not had an opportunity tospeak to him myself, but the two officers seem to havehad a completely uneventful time. I imagine the Saudiand Qatari party only went as far as the head of theKhor and aid not penetratefthe police post at the tipof the peninsula,
