It contains correspondence concerning: The UAE’s wish for Oman to open an embassy in Abu Dhabi and Omani reluctance to do so because of its preference to deal directly with the Rulers The Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi’s accusation that British troops are violently supressing villages in Northern Oman under the auspices of the Omani Government.
