It contains correspondence concerning: Sultan Saeed Bin Taimur's halted interest in appointing an English secretary, the rejection of candidates Anthony H Stearns and Lieutenant Commander Willie E Wise and the interest of William E Murdie (1, 3, 17) The Sultan's private visit to the UK in the summer, ostensibly for medical treatment.

A letter from the Sultan thanking Bullock for the photos (20) Letter from Sayyed Saif Bin Humood Bin Faisal Al Said in Zanzibar to the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, congratulating him on his appointment and requesting attention to an earlier petition.
