This file contains letters covering the period from February 1856 to March 1857. The letters consist of correspondence between the Resident in the Persian Gulf F Jones and the Secretary to the Government of Bombay H S Anderson. They concern several recent incidents in the Gulf and contain other correspondence related to these incidents, which include:
