- The attempt by Sheikh Mohammad Bin Saleh Al Shihhi of Bi'ah to secede from his allegiance to the Sultan of Muscat and Oman Saeed Bin Taimur, his grievances with the Sultanate, and his attempt to switch his allegiance to the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi
- The visit to the Trucial States of an 'armed delegation' of the Shihuh to press the accession claim
