QAWASIM

A famous tribe of Iraqi origin which is also found at Lingah
on the Persian side of the Gulf. They provide the ruling
families of Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah (which were formerly
united. Some 200 live in Sharjah, and more in Ras al Khaimah.

BANI QITAB

Nephew of Shaikh Ali bin Abdullah. Mohammed lives in the
Dhaid area and Said in the Jabal Faiyah area.

The tribe is nomadic, ranging throughout the Sharjah sands,
and through parts of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. They stretch from
Dhaid in the north to Tawi Muhaijir in the south and claim
Anka on the Buraimi Abu Dhabi road as their southern limit.

Alarge number of the tribe living south of Fau gave their
allegiance to Shaikh Zaid of Abu Dhabi during the war he waged
with Dubai and Mohammed bin Ali.

BANI SHI MAILI

A small tribe of some 100 houses living at Shimal village and
in the Wadi Haqil area to the east in Ras al Khaimah. They
and their Shaikh Muhammed bin Hout, are loyal to Ras al Khaimah.

SHARQIYIN

HINAWIYAH KANABILAH

They live in Fujairah territory and their haram is coterminous
with the area of that Shaikhdom.
