FO 371/157009 1961This file relates to Azzam Pasha's (Abdul Rahman Hasan Azzam) visit to London as an emissary of King Saud Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. It contains correspondence concerning the arrangements and records of meetings with British officials including Foreign Secretary Alec Douglas-Home and the Lord Privy Seal. Herbert de Ribbing and Jan van Wijk are also present. The purpose of this private visit is to discuss informally the possibility of resolving outstanding difficulties between the two Governments, including Buraimi refugees, Khor Al Odaid [Khawr Al Udayd], frontier settlements and the general resumption of diplomatic relations.
