• The visit of Sayyed Tariq Bin Taimur the brother of the Sultan of Muscat and Oman to Abu Dhabi. He is travelling on to Istanbul, ostensibly to take his sons to be educated there, but it is suspected that the main reason is the breakdown of his relationship with the Sultan (81)
• A recent visit of Ghalib Bin Ali Bin Hilal Alhinai the Imam of Oman to the Wadi M'zab in Algeria. Wadi M'zab and Oman are both centres of the Ibadi school of Islam (82)
• A meeting, in Cairo, between William Yates MP and Sheikh Himyar Bin Sulaiman Al Nabhanui. Sheikh Himyar is the son of Sheikh Sulaiman Bin Himyar Al Nabhani of the Bani Riyam tribe, who is a supporter of the Imam of Oman (83)
• A meeting between W H Luce and Sayyed Tariq Bin Taimur in Bahrain, regarding the latter's hopes of having his children educated in the UK and his desire to find worthwhile employment in the Gulf (84)
• A translation of an article from a Yugoslav magazine, seeking to connect events in Yemen to those in Oman (85)
• A dispute between two magazines in Cairo, Saut Oman, which has supported the cause of the Omani rebels, and Rose al Yusif, which has attacked Saut Oman's coverage of the situation (86)
• A transcript of a radio interview, broadcast on Voice of the Arabs, with Sheikh Taleb Bin Ali Al Hinai the brother of the Imam of Oman (87).
