(Arabian Department's Compliment's slip No. BT 1421/7 of June 1, enclosing Booth's letter 17627 of May 15 to Lyre which was copied to Dubai). 2. As you will have seen from subsequent correspondence, we hope to get Griffith's comments on the report, although he was warned (my letter 1425 of September 11) that H.M.G. would not have funds to pay for any follow-up work at Ras al Khaimah. 3. Now that the CENTO meetings are over, I hope Griffith may be able to devote some time to the Trucial States problems, and he may wish to do this in conjunction with Paul Howell's projected visit. 4.
