  • Requests made to the Government of the Federation of South Arabia for permission to open a Saudi Arabian Consulate and a Royal Yemeni Consulate in Aden (1-2, 4)
  • News that Ahmad Saeed Muflahi is to be the next Federal Consular Official in Jedda [Jeddah] and the suggestion that he should be watched closely (3)
  • Request from Germany for agreement to appoint a Career Consul in Aden in place of the present Honorary Consul and a request from the Federation of South Arabia to Germany for development aid (7, 10)
  • Note from the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs [enclosed] asking if the Gulf Rulers would be willing for Lebanon to send consular officials for periodic visits in their states and notes and comments on this request, discussing whether agreeing to it would create an unwelcome precedent for requests from other states.
