CONFIDENTIAL (1031) BRITISH RESIDENCY, BAHRAIN 7 November, 1966. Would you please refer to correspondence about the 155/022/possibility of a visit to Abu Dhabi by Shaikh Hafiz Wahba which appears to rest with Sir William Luce's letter to Brenchley 1031 of 20 June (copied to you). --- 2. I now enclose copies of two further papers on this subject which do not appear to have been sent to you (an excerpt from H.M. Ambassador in Jedda's letter 1634/19/10 to Brenchley which was sent to the PR under a Jedda compliment slip and a copy of Weir's minute of 19 October about Mrs. McKay). Both papers report Mrs. McKay's proposal to King Faisal that Shaikh Hafiz Wahba should visit Abu Dhabi and we would be grateful to know whether you see any difficulties in this from your end. 3. I am copying this letter to Cranston in Jedda and Weir in Arabian Department. (M. R. Melhuish) A. T. Lamb, Esq., M.B.E., D.F.C., ABU DHABI. CONFIDENTIAL
