This file contains a memorandum outlining the proposed establishment of a force to provide security in the area of Al Dhahira [Al Dhahirah] in Oman, given the threat from armed parties of Bedu. It is expected to take 18 months to raise a capable force, which would also be useful for any future exploration of the Huqf area. It is suggested that Glubb Pasha be contacted for advice, particularly in regard to the recruitment and training of Bedouin tribesmen.
