This file relates primarily to press reports on the Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Shakhbut Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the education of his son Sheikh Sultan Bin Shakhbut Al Nahyan. It contains correspondence on: Sheikh Shakhbut's communication with the US Consul General James A May, and his annoyance at what had been said about him in Time, Life, and other publications. It also contains Political Agent J E H Boustead's complaint that Edward Atiyah used off the record comments regarding the Sultan of Muscat to construct an article in the Listener about Sheikh Shakhbut.
