This file concerns the visit of Crown Prince Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia to the UK in May 1977 on his way to Washington, DC for talks with US President Jimmy Carter. During the visit, the Saudi delegation attended a luncheon at Chequers with Prime Minister James Callaghan, Chancellor Denis Healey, Industry Secretary Eric Varley, Trade Secretary Edmund Dell and Energy Secretary Tony Benn.
