It contains correspondence concerning: Conversation between D C Carden and Chief Representative of Petroleum Development (Oman) Limited Francis Hughes about the extent of HMG's jurisdiction (1) Need for a status of forces agreement covering British personnel seconded to the Sultan's Armed Forces and safeguards for members of the diplomatic service, following the lapse of HMG's jurisdiction. The Madagascar agreement is used as a template.
