This file contains correspondence relating to the forthcoming visit to Kuwait of the Iraq Minister of Defence General Mahmoud Shukri at the invitation of the Kuwait Minister of Defence Sheikh Sa'ad Al Abdulla Al Salem Al Sabah to discuss the two countries’ defence relationship. It includes a warning from the Foreign Office to HM Embassy in Kuwait of his pro-Nasserist leanings.
