This file relates to negotiations between HMG and Omani rebels in connection with the conflict between the Sultan of Muscat and Oman Saeed Bin Taimur and the Imam of Oman Ghalib Al Hina'i. It contains correspondence concerning: Cairo and British press reports [cuttings enclosed] of negotiations in Beirut, and conflicting reports that Sheikh Saleh Bin Isa Al Harithi and other family members were dismissed by the Imam or resigned.
