Discussions at UN about Oman, 1964

This file concerns the question of Oman as it was addressed by the UN. It contains correspondence on: Preparations for the meeting in London between the Sultan of Muscat and Oman Saeed Bin Taimur and the Chairman of the UN's Ad Hoc Committee on Oman Abdul Rahman Pazhwak. It includes a list, sent by Pazhwak to the Sultan, of the major points he wishes to discuss (81, 83-84, 86, 89) Committee's interest in the Sultanate's cession of Gwadur [Gwadar] to Pakistan (82) Meeting between the Committee and members of the Foreign Office.

It contains correspondence concerning: Request received by the Crown Agents from Sharjah to supervise the distribution of their postage stamps. The Crown Agents ask for advice on how to inform the Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Saqr Bin Sultan Al Qasimi that they do not wish to deal through Fouad Antoun of Middle East Stamps Incorporated (1) Signing of an agreement between the Sheikh of Himriyya [Hamriyah] Humaid Bin Abdul Rahman and Fouad Antoun for the publishing of postage stamps.
