It contains correspondence concerning: The Sultan of Muscat and Oman Saeed Bin Taimur’s dhow and that it is needed immediately for extensive patrols by the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF); the dhow called Sur and that it will be in operation shortly (91, 94) Request for authority to move a new squadron of lifeguards and to employ some Trucial Oman Scouts (TOS) in anti-gun running shore patrols down the Batina [Batinah] Coast (92) Request for a list of mine incidents since 1 March 1959 from the Sultan.
