This file relates to the aftermath of the Islamic Summit Conference held in Rabat, called by King Hasan II Bin Mohammad Al Alawi of Morocco, in response to the fire at the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. It contains correspondence relating to:
- Articles in the Tehran Journal and Kayhan International concerning disagreement between the Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the Vice-President of the United Arab Republic (UAR) Anwar Sadat at the Conference
- Formal presentation of the Final Declaration of the Islamic Summit Conference to representatives of the US, the Soviet Union, Britain and France and to the United Nations Security Council at the UN headquarters in New York, including copies of the Declaration in French and English
