This file relates to power generation in Abu Dhabi. It contains correspondence concerning:
- Question of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Shakhbut Bin Sultan Al Nahyan cancelling the contract with Hawker Siddeley Limited for the Buraimi power station, with the work not being completed on the Abu Dhabi power station either (7)
- Question of a senior engineer going to Abu Dhabi to examine the power station, with the Political Residency in Bahrain suggesting suitable candidates for Hawker’s side from the firm Kennedy and Donkin (8-9) Sheikh Shakhbut’s criticism of Hawker Siddeley but agreement to independent technical advice for his side, with his request for an engineer from Pakistan; the selection of F A Hamdani for the role (10-11)

- Hamdani’s production of an adverse report as a result of pressure from Sheikh Shakhbut, with the Ruler subsequently informing Hawker Siddeley of the termination of their contract. It also includes mention that Kennedy and Donkin have produced their report which was broadly but not entirely in Hawker's favour (17)
