(c) when about to turn to the right, extend the left arm and rotate it from the shoulder in a clockwise direction; (4) When approaching a member of the State Police Force in uniform or any other duly authorised person engaged in the regulation of traffic, any person driving a vehicle with a left hand drive shall give the following signals for the purpose of indicating the direction in which he wishes to proceed to the member of the Police Force or other duly authorised person : (a) If he wishes to go straight ahead, he shall raise his left hand towards the shoulder and move the forearm well forward and then backwards in a vertical plane, making the movement sufficiently pronounced to be easily seen. (6) If he wishes to turn to the left or to the right, he shall use the signals described in paragraphs (b) and (c) respectively of sub-section (3) of this Section. (5) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (1) to (4) of this Section, when a motor vehicle is fitted with mechanical direction indicators on the left and right side of the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle may signal his intention to turn to the left or to the right by the use of the appropriate indicator. 29. The Licensing Authority shall be empowered, under this Ordinance, to erect such signs as may be necessary for regulating the speed of vehicles on any road and for forbidding entry into certain roads and for otherwise regulating the manner in which vehicles shall be driven or parked on the roads. PART V.-OFFENCES 30. Any person who (a) supplies false or misleading information in regard to the grant of a driving licence or a learner driver's permit or a motor vehicle licence or the renewal thereof, or the issue of a duplicate therefor, or (b) having been refused a driving licence, obtains a driving licence without disclosing such refusal, or (c) having been disqualified under the provisions of this Ordinance from holding or obtaining a driving licence applies for or obtains a driving licence while he is so disqualified, shall be guilty of an offence. 31. Any person who (a) drives any motor vehicle on a road without being in possession of a valid driving licence or learner driver's permit authorising him to drive that vehicle, or (b) being in possession of a learner driver's permit, fails to comply with any condition attached thereto or with the provisions of Section 12 of this Ordinance, or (c) uses on a road any motor vehicle for which a licence is not in force, unless the vehicle is exempt from licensing under Section 16 of this Ordinance, shall be guilty of an offence. 32. Any holder of a driving licence or learner driver's permit shall produce it on request by a member of the State Police Force in uniform or, if he is unable to do so, he shall produce it at a Police Station within 48 hours of such request. Any person failing to do so shall be guilty of an offence.
