- Talks between the Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Shakhbut Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and R E R Bird of the Iraq Petroleum Company (IPC) on behalf of Petroleum Development (Trucial Coast) Limited (PDTC), regarding the discovery of oil in commercial quantities, a draft agreement on a 50-50 profit sharing basis and the appointment of a lawyer (55, 61, 70, 75)
- Poor health of Richard Brandt of SAAC Import Export GmBH, the consequent lack of progress made on the Sharjah oil concession and a provisional agreement [enclosed] between Brandt and the Ruler Sheikh Saqr Bin Sultan Al Qasimi.
