This file contains correspondence relating to the development of the North Field Gas project, the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) plant, the emergence of possible commercial opportunities in Qatar, a visit to the United Kingdom (UK) by the British Ambassador to Doha to study the commercial opportunities for British firms in Qatar and test the interest of British Petroleum, Shell and other companies in the development of the North Field Gas and LNG projects. The file includes a summary of Shell’s dispute with the Government of Qatar due to the explosion of a Natural Gas Liquids pipeline.
