This file contains correspondence relating to: Departure of C G Pelham as ambassador and his farewell talk with King Saud Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. They discussed: the Buraimi Arbitration Agreement; Saudi Arabia's relations with Britain and the West; and the Baghdad Pact. It also contains the text of an address by King Saud (1-2) Conversations between C A E Shuckburgh and the Saudi Ambassador on his return from Cairo.

This file contains correspondence relating to: An account of reasons why Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan sent an armed force to his villages. It is suggested that Turki's action in sending a car to the Abu Dhabi villages and his attempt to pick up Sheikh Saqr Al Nuaimi on his way back to Buraimi should form the subject of a protest (383) An account of Weir's interview with Sheikh Saqr Al Nuaimi, following which he took action against two leading agitators amongst his servants; and Weir's visit to Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan's villages.
