It contains correspondence concerning:A suggestion that the rulers of the Trucial States and Qatar send messages to the Sultan on his official birthday (1-2)Possible developments if the Sultan were to cease to rule, and the question of succession. It speculates on United Arab Republic support for Sayyed Shihab Bin Faisal, Iraqi support for Sayyed Tariq Bin Taimur, the strength of Sheikh Saleh Bin Isa Al Harithi's position, and considers British efforts to groom Sayyed Qaboos Bin Saeed.
