1. DMAO was requested in January by DA ABU DHABI to investigate the possibilityof providing a Defence Policy Fund subsidy to help the UAE Navy with EW training.DNFCT investigated the apparent problem with Racal/Decca in UK who were somewhatpuzzled by the request for UK government assistance. It now seems from the DA'Slast letter that the local Racal/Decca representative fully supports the DA'Srequest for UK government money to provide more maintenance of and training inthe use of the UAE Navy's Racal Decca Cutlass Electronic Warfare systems.
2. Would you please determine the view of the UK office of Racal Decca in thismatter so that DMAO know what way to proceed with the DA's bid for a DPF subsidy.
