SUMMARY
(a) The men's basic pay should be increased by Rs. 20/- per
mensem and other allowances should continue to be
granted as at present.
(b)
The ration of tea, milk, meat and fish should be doubled.
The scale of meat and fish ration should not be
dependent on Sug prices.
Every attempt should be made to hasten the closing down
of NAFUN and the move of personnel to the North.
Immediate steps should be taken to increase the tempo
of building at IBRI. In the meantime Barasti huts
should be purchased and erected there.
(e) Every effort should be made to grant leave to those who
are entitled to it.
(f) A doctor is required.
(g) The standard of administration and man-management of
the Force leaves much to be desired. For this
the MUSCAT authorities must bear a large share of
the responsibility.
(h)
If urgent steps are taken to meet the men's justifiable
complaints, the Force will remain in the field.
If half-hearted measures are adopted, the men are
likely to desert.
