Description of frontier between Muscat and Oman and Saudi Arabia,
and Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, as declared by Her Majesty's
Government (in Notes No. 196 of August 4, 1955, and No. 243 of
October 26, 1955) to the Saudi Arabian Government.

The frontier runs in a straight line between the following

points : 
A. 51° 2' E. 240 35' N. Intersection of Riyadh line and Southern

boundary of Qatar (as claimed by Ruler of Qatar at Dammam
Conference 1952).

B.

51° 8' E. 240 18' N. Midway point between Halwain and Nakhlah.
(Riyadh line. Article 2 of Sir A. Ryan's Note of November 25, 1935).

C. 510 45' E. 23° 50' N. Sufuk. (1937 modification of Riyadh line to
take account of position of Sufuk, leaving Suſuk to Saudi Arabia).

Ayu Dholar
D. 52º E. 230 N. (Riyadh line).

E. 550 E. 220 30' N. (Riyadh line).
F. 55° 12' E. 22° 43' N. Umm al Zamul. South of this point the

territory of the Sultan of Muscat and Oman marches with Saudi Arabia.

G.

550 40' E. 220 N. On the North Eastern edge of the Umm al Samim
(line beyond which the Sultan makes no claim, May 11, 1937).

H. 550 E. 200 N.

(Line beyond which Sultan makes no claim).

I. 520 E. 190 N. Here the line meets the boundary of the Eastern Aden

Protectorate (line beyond which Sultan makes no claim).
