Page 3. Awamir (Badu Section).

After Salim bin Musallim bin Hamm add: "he spends the greater
part of his time with Shaikh Zaid bin Sultan."

Salim bin Hamad bin Rikkadh and his brother Mohammed have,
since 1956, spent most of their time in Abu Dhabi territory, though,
like many other Awamir nominally loyal to Shaikh Zaid, they may
return to Saudi Arabia from time to time.

After Shaikh Zaid of Abu Dhabi" insert: "who has gone to great
pains to attract them to him, and away from the Saudis, by the
payment of money presents and other means."

- para 3.

After "annual truce add "Shaikh Zaid has agreed to mediate
in this dispute, and hopes to reach a satisfactory settlement."

- para 6. Baharinah.

found on the files of H.M.Political Agency, Dubai.

- para 2.

Delete from time to time after one third. After "Saudi
Arabia" insert: "During the past year there has been a considerable
movement of Manasir, particularly Al bu Rahamah and Al bu Mindhir,
back to Abu Dhabi from Saudi Arabia.

Al bu. Mindhir. (I think the "kasra" is to be prefered to
the "dhamma".)

of those who have remained loyal to Abu Dhabi the leader is
Hamaid bin Atshan. Other important personalities are Salim bin
Taraibish, formerly one of the Ruler's retainers, and Salih bin Aziz,
head of the Matawa'a section, who returned from Saudi Arabia last
year.

Al bu Shaar.

After "bu Hulaibah" delete from "probably to "at present and
add "A natural leader and widely respected, he is undoubtedly the
most outstanding personality among the Manasir in Abu Dhabi at
present."
