FOREIGN OFFICE, CONFIDENTIAL Following a meeting with Ellis yesterday, we have now marked on the relevant aerial photographs and the sheet in the 1501 (G) series (NE 39-42) the most likely location of Jabal Sedakh. The mountain is ringed in blue on the photographs and is chown as a blue cross inside a circle on the map. I enclose copies of both. 2. Although Ellie had not himself seen Febel Sadakh, he was fairly confident that the point we have mazked would probably be it. It is on the watershed between Wadis Haburuf and Difan, which are recognised Ice ally as belonging respectively to the Mehra and the Bait Kathir, and it is the place where Wadi sadoich begins. Ellis emphasised that it was a common principle throughout the area for Wadis to take their nemes from the locality where they start. since, however, we can not be completely sure that the point we have marked is correct, and the place in question is not particularly difficult o eccess from Haberut, it would atill be useful if the Sulton were to send a small party to the area to check. 3. I am copying this letter with the section of the map, but without the photographs, to Remeay Molhuish in Bahrain and Mark Marshall in Aden. Two further sets of photographs will be sent to you shortly and one to the Residency. D.C. Carden Eego, H.M. Consulate General, Nuseet. . CONFIDENT
