DELIMITED TRUCIAL STATES FRONTIERS 1) ABU DHABI - DUBAI FRONTIER In 1949, after an examination of the claims of the two shaikhdons about the northern sector of their frontier by the Political Officer: Trucial Coast, the Political Agent, Bahrain declared that this frontier ran as follows: "From Hasian on the coast to Tawi Ghafur, thence to Tawi Hafir, thence to Tawi al Eshush. Only the boundary between Hasian and Tawi al Eshush is defined by this order. Tavi Ghafur and Tawi Hafir, both lie on the Dubai side of the line, as defined hereby". 2) DUBAI - SHARJAH FRONTIER In 1956 and 1957 after arbitration on the part of the Political Agent, Trucial Coast, the boundary between Sharjah and Dubai was defined as follows: "The boundary point on the coast between Sharjah and Dubai shall be a line running between Mamzer and Al Bu Hail, leaving Mamzer to Sharjah, starting at right angles from the coast and passing hall way between the houses of Hilal bin Humaia and Khalifah bin Hassan near Birka Well. Thence the frontier runs to Nahada Amair and. Hadhib Az Zanah. From Hadhib Az Zanah the line runs between Aud Al Matinah and. Arqub Zba'a south-eastwards to Arqub Arqan leaving Aud Bilalid to Sharjah. "From Arqub Arqan the line passes north of Ghafat Thamr. south of Arqub Naub and north of Bida'at to Chilan. From Chilan the boundary continues through Nagdat az Zamul to Tawi Bill Khabis, which is divided between Sharjah and Dubai, and then turns south passing to the east Jiza'at bin Ta'abat, and between Arafi and Arqub Dhabian, the former being in Sharjah territory. The frontier then passes through Mirial, Khobai and Qawasir, and to the west of Tawi Mghram and Bedira Mghram which belong to Sharjah, leaving Sih Atham to Dubai, Thence it continues south to al Alam and passes between Bada Hilal and Bada Zigag which is in Sharjah territory. Further south the frontier leaves Muwaih Daij to Sharjah, Runmaiyah to Dubai and divides Arqub Salama between the two states." SHARJAH'S EASTERN FRONTIER. (With Ras al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah) After investigations in 1956 and 1957 on behalf of the Political Agent Trucial States, this boundary was defined as follows: (i) Sharjah-Ras al Khaimah The frontier with Ras al Khaimah shall run from Ned. Al Shamisat, northwards, leaving Nasas to Sharjah and thence to Jebal Mdaina. From Jebal Mdaina the line goes to Al Khaidha and al Hamar, and then passes to the west of Qurn Lahamma, al Jshaish, and Shuwailha to Aqal which is divided between Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah. From Agal the line runs between Hazm Sabbab and Khadhaira leaving the latter to Sharjah, and west of Khadra to the gap west of Sibat Minfaraj. Thence the frontier should go north passing just east of Milaiha which is in Sharjah territory, to Qul a ilat as Sud.
